Festive Flavor

We Have Band - You Came Out

I'm going through a bit of an obsessed-with-stop-frame-video phase. That being said, this video is really cool, as is the song. Friday night festivity type stuff. We Have Band is a London based trio who won the Emerging Talent Competition in 2009 in Glastonbury. I'm personally loving these guys, give them a listen.

Lost Things - Fine Frenzy

On my on going quest to find new music I came across this lovely song with a really cool stop frame video. Check it out

giving up on looking back

Grouplove - Itching on a photograph

Grouplove is an American indie rock band which formed in 2009. I have an obsession with lyrics, and this song in particular really pulls on my heartstrings, but not in a sad way. These specific lyrics are very relevant in my personal life right now. They are so beautiful and kind of gives me courage to move forward in life and let go of the things that get you down.

" Im giving up on looking back
Im letting go of what I had. "

A real feelgood song, enjoy.

"Blame it on my ADD baby"

AWOLNATION - Sail

AWOLNATION is a relatively new American indie/rock band. Sail Songfacts reports that Aaron Bruno, the front man, used to leave high school without saying goodbye to his friends because it was easier. This lead to him being nicknamed 'Awol' (absence without leave). When Bruno decided to form his own band, he decided to name it after his high school moniker. This is a really cool song. Check it out.

Lets get rebellious

The Subways - Rock & Roll Queen

So now that you've heard the lovely 'love song', give this one a listen.
This song, literally makes me want to jump on the table, kick the keyboard off of my desk, and dance like a lunatic. I want to play the most violent air guitar and head-bang until my head hurts. That is how happy this song makes me. A real party tune. Listen to it loud, but try not to get into trouble with your boss / lecturer / colleagues or fellow internet cafe inhabitants... Or do, you know, whatevz. Sometimes a little bit of trouble can be just what you need to brighten up your day. Go on, be a little bit rebellious...

"I can see the colours of your mind"

The Subways - No Goodbeys

The Subways are a British indie/rock band formed in 2003.  If I had to choose one, I  would have to say that this is currently my favorite band. My flavor of the month. Or the last two months at least. They're very energetic and gets me in such a good mood. Mostly a party mood. Although they do have a few really lovely, well, love songs, such as this one.

fantastically eerie

CocoRosie - Lemonade

CocoRosie is a sister band who combines opera-ish vocals and unconventional things like kids toys and such to create beautiful, unique music that kind of haunts you. This is not one of my favorite songs but the video is quite creepy and fantastic!

saturday morning music

regina spektor- us

Miss Spektor studied classical piano from the age of six,and is a fantastic vocalist. I woke up feeling like some lovely girl tunes and I enjoy this song so much, I had to share.

80's Flashback

Eurythmics is a British pop/rock/synth band formed in 1981. I grew up listening to this band, so when
this song just popped into my head today, it sure did make me nostalgic!

Enjoy!

A rainy Tuesday tune

Does it offend you, yeah? are an alternative/electronic band formed in England in 2006.  This particular song is quite 'pretty' compared to their normal, more rowdy stuff.  I absolutely love this song. Check it out
